Learn about the extraordinary time when our Country was founded. Thomas Jefferson asserted that “Samuel Adams was that Man” who was the leader of the Revolution. John Adams thought his cousin Sam was the most “sagacious” or shrewdest politician of all. Adams put together what could be said to be the greatest campaign of civil resistance in Civil History.
Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer Stacy Schiff, and her new book “The Revolutionary Samuel Adams”, helps us walk through the life of Samuel Adams who supplied the moral backbone of the American Revolution. Adams helped package and amplify—almost like using social media– the Boston Massacre which was the beginning event that first shook the colonists. He helped mastermind the Boston Tea Party. You will learn how Adams, hid behind his many masks and stratagems and build consensus for a new Nation.
Also, get to know Adams and his incredible band of brothers. John Hancock, the President of the Second Continental Congress and first signer of the Declaration of Independence. Paul Revere, an American silversmith, engraver and Sons of Liberty Member.
What happened on famous ride of Paul Revere who rode to Lexington in 1975 to warn Samuel Adams that he was about to be arrested for treason? Much of the prelude to the revolution took place in the City of Boston and Massachusetts. Learn why Boston played such an important role. What about General George Washington, how did he figure into the growing discontent with the monarchy and Great Britain? What caused Washington to lead the fight?
Tonight, Dan will take you back to the founding of the Country, where you will learn about the true spirit of the Men who fought to liberate America. The tactics, their strength, and spirit and the one man that led the way, Samuel Adams.
Have a Sam Adams Beer with us tonight at the EmpowerU Studio–Join us as we celebrate the founding of our Nation!
