Architect Ken Schon will discuss the renovation of the Peters Cartridge Factory — an ammunitions factory situated along the Little Miami River and Bike Trail — into 135 loft apartments and 15,000 square feet of commercial space. Completed in 2022, the project received the Award of Merit from the Ohio Historic Preservation Office.
In this talk Mr. Schon will walk through a brief history of the Peters Cartridge Factory using vintage photos. He’ll also walk through the development process, detailing the
physical and environmental conditions that existed on the site, the vision for the site, and why his firm came to commit to the project. He’ll illustrate this part of the discussion with photos taken before and after the project’s completion. (7:30-8:30 PM)

Camera-equipped drones can capture stunning views from a variety of angles and heights. This feature makes them extremely valuable commercial applications. For example, they can help showcase a property or event location in a way that simply can’t be done with traditional photography. They’re also extremely useful for documenting the progression of a construction project, for building a project portfolio, and for social media. Carl Ray of Cincinnati Drone Photos will share his insights about this innovative technology. (7:05-7:25 PM)
