An Overview of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic

As the former Chairman of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, Dr. Brad Wenstrup will review the SSC report, the lessons learned, and how our nation can predict, prepare, protect, and prevent for the future if another pandemic were to happen.

In 2023, House of Representatives, Dr. Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) was chosen to Chair a Select Subcommittee to investigate COVID-19’s origins and the government’s response.   His Committee produced a 520 page report:  After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: The Lessons Learned and the Path Forward.

Brad, you will remember, was the hero of the June 2017 shooting at the House GOP baseball practice.  Wenstrup, who was elected to Congress in 2012, helped treat Steve Scalise, who had been shot by a gunman who opened fire at a House Republican baseball practice just before their annual congressional baseball game against the Democrats.  Many say that day Brad saved Steve Scalise’s life.

We are very pleased to have him share with us the insights from this report and answer your questions. Join us at the EmpowerU Studio at Scarlet Oaks for this informative
meeting. Bring your family and friends!
