Some surprising facts of Benjamin Franklin!

Wait, who was Silence Dogood anyway??  With natural curiosity and the rare ability to creatively think through a problem and work on experiments to invent solutions to improve it, the life of Ben Franklin is worth study.  We’ll explore the many facets of Benjamin Franklin – some familiar and some surprising!

From teenage runaway to printer and self-taught writer to loyalist of England finally to reluctant revolutionary and diplomat – expect to learn something new and to be inspired.  Many of his inventions we are currently using today – ever notice lightning rods at the top of church towers, not to mention at the top of larger buildings?  That is one example.  Franklin was integral in the writing of our Constitution.  You’ll learn all about it – come join in!    Karen will discuss Ben Franklin from 7:30-8:30 PM.

7:10-7:30 PM–Brendan Murray’s Podcast “Beneath The Maze” takes a deep dive that explores the truth behind our social and political environment.   Meet Brendan and learn about his project.   Brendan will discuss the forces that are creating the chaos and confusion in society, and more importantly how, and why?   Who built this maze?  In order to answer that question, we need to dig deep, and in doing so, we will answer some of the more difficult questions that even the biggest names have not brought to light.

In a world where everything is free, who works? What does a politician say in a perfect society? Who is more afraid of death, those who are religious or those who are not? These questions, and so many more, are critical to understanding how society works, and how the corrupt regime controls people in society, like pawns on the political chess board.

Speaker Bios:

Karen Cartier: Karen is an avid reader, writer, learner, wife, and mother of two.  She has worked in IT as a technical writer for over 30 years and is currently working full-time in IT.  Outside of her paying job, she serves as an officer in Toastmasters International as well as a volunteer Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Brendan Murray- 34-year-old father of 4 young children – Studied engineering and worked in construction management for over 10 years. Started a political podcast called ‘Beneath The Maze’ in 2022. Writer and social media influencer. I commonly say that I am addicted to problem solving. In order to solve a problem, one must know the cause of it. Question everything!
