In recent years there has been a nationwide movement — Convention of States — to promote another Constitutional Convention.

The Convention of States would introduce several new constitutional amendments that the U.S. Congress has been reluctant to entertain.  Convention of States advocates say this is the perfect situation to hold such a Convention.

Rob Tuttle is a conservative who is an outspoken 10th Amendment advocate, and he believes that the Federal Government has gone far beyond its proper boundaries.  However, his considerable research has led him to believe that another Constitutional Convention would be a very dangerous idea and is not worth the risk — especially since we have not pursued other avenues that were recommended by our Founders.

Speaker Bios:

Rob Tuttle has been actively involved in politics for more than 20 years.  He has been elected 3 times to the Warren County Central Committee, and he is a volunteer lobbyist for a number of non-profits across the state, including Dayton Right to Life.

Shortly after retiring, Rob go to know government officials at all levels, including U.S. and state congressmen, senators, mayors, school board members, and his local sheriff.  He has had tough conversations with these officials about numerous topics, including the 2nd Amendment, fiscal restraint, and a variety of federal and state constitutional issues.

Rob teaches classes on the Constitution across Ohio, both as a member of Building Blocks for Liberty and the Institute on the Constitution, focusing on the serious problem of government overreach and fiscal irresponsibility. Rob has testified in Ohio House and Senate hearings about various pieces of legislation, including Convention of States, and is an active participant and speaker at many Tea Party and liberty groups throughout the Dayton area. Rob believes the Constitution is a powerful instrument of protection for all Americans, regardless of political leanings – and we should protect it and follow it.

Mary Hill grew up in the downtown area of Cincinnati. She recalls living on every street in the downtown area. When her mother had to choose between paying the Catholic school tuition or paying the next month’s rent, she moved. Her mother worked two jobs, but like in today’s economy, it was hard for a single mom to make ends meet.

Mary attended Robert A Taft High School. She later attended America College to become a Certified Financial Planner. Her focus was Taxation. She was employed by Prudential Insurance where she obtained her Ohio State License to sell Life, Health, P&C, and Securities. She managed the Payroll/Human Resources Department for 14 years for a division of Nielsen Research. She retired from a local Insurance company after 11 years as an Internal Wholesaler of financial securities. Mary is the mother of two wonderful children.

Mary served eight years on Council in the Village of Woodlawn. She chaired the Finance Committee and Economic Development. Her first year on Council, she recovered $100,000 from overpayments on the Village’s loan. Her main focus was to clean up the Ohio Audit Report. Additionally, Woodlawn Council built 43 new homes in the village and just recently completed a beautiful park that was initiated during Mary’s tenure.

Mary has traveled the world and knows that the United States is the best place in the world to live. She is running for the Clerk of Courts position because she believes the citizens of Hamilton County deserve better accessibility and complete transparency of court records.
